Throughout Europe, approx. 17 million truck tyres are being marketed. Of these, about 10 million are new and 7 million are retreaded truck tyres. That is a ratio of 59 to 41 in favour of new tyres.

This ratio applies for the German, Swiss and Austrian market. Otherwise things do not at all appear as unified on the other European markets. In Belgium and Greece, only 20 percent of the truck tyres are retreaded. This number is completely different in Sweden and Finland.
Here the market share of the retreaded tyres is 65 percent. On the German market, about 2.1 million new and 1.5 million retreaded tyres are sold. Professionals assume that the proportion of retreaded tyres on the market will continue to grow.
